Wendy's Frosty special for 2026: $1 Frosty, Key Tags, Boo! Books
What is Wendy's Frosty special for 2026 usually means three campaigns, not one SKU.
Summer: a limited $1 small Classic Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty at participating US restaurants, with Rewards early access on July 19 and a wider window from July 20 through August 23. A la carte only. Not valid for delivery. Limit ten per transaction.
Year-long value: Frosty Key Tags for free classic Jr Frostys with purchase through December 31, 2026.
Fall: Boo! Books sold roughly August 31 to November 1, 2026, with free Jr Frosty coupons redeemable through year-end.
When a dated promo ends, check current cups on the Frosty flavors menu and pay the franchise board price until the next deal window.
Does Wendy's have $1 Frosties?
Does Wendy's have $1 frosties is a yes only during printed promo windows.
The 2026 company announcement framed a $1 small Classic Frosty as a limited summer value play, not a permanent board price.
Rewards members could redeem a $1 Small Classic Frosty digital offer in the app on July 19. From July 20 through August 23, participating locations sold the same $1 small Classic Frosty in-restaurant, drive-thru, app, and Wendys.com.
Delivery orders were excluded. Participation and price could vary, with higher prices possible in Alaska and Hawaii.
Outside those dates, a $1 Frosty screenshot is history. Check Offers or pay menu price.
Is there a Frosty deal at Wendy's? How deals usually work
Is there a Frosty deal at Wendy's depends on the calendar and your store.
Modern Frosty discounts live in Offers, seasonal Key Tags, fall Boo! Books, and occasional national $1 Classic Frosty windows.
Pick your restaurant in the app, then look at Offers before you leave. One offer per order is the usual rule.
Key Tags generally cannot stack with other offers. Boo! Books coupons are in-person only.
If nothing Frosty-specific matches, look at standing Wendy’s meal deals or regular dessert pricing.
Frosty Key Tags 2026: $3 for free Jr Frosty with purchase
Frosty Key Tags are the durable annual Frosty deal people mean when they say free Frosty all year.
For 2026, each $3 tag unlocks one free classic Jr Frosty per transaction per visit with any at-restaurant purchase at participating US Wendy’s, valid through December 31, 2026.
Physical tags go on a keychain and are presented at the counter or drive-thru. Digital tags live in the app as a mobile offer or can be loaded to a Rewards card for scanning. Physical tags do not apply to app orders.
Not valid for Frosty with mix-ins, swirls, or toppings under published rules. One use per visit even if you own multiple tags, unless a local crew chooses otherwise.
About 90% of each $3 US tag benefits the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Wendy’s states it does not profit from the $3 Key Tag sale. Canada Key Tags follow Canada rules and often require a combo or large salad purchase.
When 2027 tags arrive, they restart the next calendar window. Keep using a 2026 tag until its printed end date.
Frosty Boo! Books: $1 Halloween coupon books
Boo! Books are the fall twin to Key Tags. Each $1 book typically includes five free Jr Frosty coupons plus a $1.99 Wendy’s Kids’ Meal with purchase coupon.
For 2026, Wendy’s lists sale dates about August 31 to November 1 at participating US restaurants, while supplies last, under the Give Something Back category.
Redeem Jr Frosty coupons in person on or before December 31 of the year purchased. No purchase is necessary for the free Jr Frosty coupon itself. Coupons are not for Wendy’s app mobile orders and cannot stack with other offers.
About 90¢ of every book supports the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

How much does a Frosty cost at Wendy's without a deal?
How much does a Frosty cost at Wendy's without a promo depends on size and franchise.
Typical US classic ranges: Jr about $1.50 to $2.00, small about $2.30 to $2.80, medium about $2.90 to $3.50, large about $3.50 to $4.20.
Swirls and Fusions run higher. Compare the full ladder on the Frosty prices and sizes guide, including nutrition by size.
99¢ Frosty history vs today's $1 Frosty promos
Older Everyday Value Menus put a small Original Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty at 99¢ at participating restaurants.
That forever board price is gone. Modern value shows up as timed $1 small Classic Frosty campaigns, Key Tags, Boo! Books, and personalized app Offers.
If someone quotes 99¢ without a live Offer for your store, they are repeating history, not your checkout total.
Rewards, birthday, and app Frosty offers
Rewards members sometimes get early access to national Frosty promos, as with the July 19, 2026 $1 Frosty digital offer.
Points redemptions and birthday offers can also unlock a free or discounted Frosty when that tile is in your wallet.
If a random website code fails at the speaker, read how Wendy’s coupons and promo codes actually load in Offers.
For points math and signup basics, start with the Wendy’s Rewards overview.
When to just pay menu price for a Frosty
If you want a swirl, a Fusion, or a large classic and no offer matches, pay the menu price and move on.
Hunting an expired $1 or 99¢ screenshot wastes more time than the dollar you save.
If the goal is a freezer batch instead of a window deal, use the homemade Frosty copycat recipe.
